ADJECTIVE + NOUN

Adjectives describe nouns. In grammar, we say that adjectives “modify” nouns. The word “modify” means “change a little.” Adjectives give a little different meaning to a noun: cold water, hot water, nice weather, bad weather.

For examples :

  1. I don’t like cold weather.
  2. Raizel is smart student.
  3. Laskarea and Zera are beautiful girls
  4. I am rich woman
  5. My husband is a handsome man

  • Adjectives come in front of nouns
  1. The hungry boy has a fresh apple

          (adj + noun)                 (adj+ noun)

  1. The clever girl has busy activity
  2. The angry birds have funny expression
  3. The funny cat has black spot on his nose
  4. The lazy boy has nice smile
  • An adjectives can also follow be; the adjective describes the subject of the sentence.
    1. The book is cheap

              (noun) +(be)+(adjective)

    1. The house is big
    2. The class is dirty
    3. The car is expensive
    4. The food is so delicious
