Difference between GONNA, WANNA, KINDA, GOTCHA, and Examples in English

What is WANNA?

Wanna is an abbreviation of the word want to, used in non-formal conversations and situations. For the formal version, then using the word would like to and if for the third person pronoun then use the word wants to not want to.

Example:

  • I want to grow old with you
  • my mother wanna see you soon

 

What is GONNA?

Gonna means ‘will’ and comes from the word ‘going to’. in the question or introgative sentence, ‘are’ are omitted.

Example:

  • I am gonna celebrate my party today
  • they will meet me in the hospital

 

What is KINDA?

Kinda is also the slang language most often used in non-formal conversations in English. Kinda stands for kind of which means somewhat.

Example:

  • I kinda hate him so I’m not gonna meet you him
  • They are kinda sick and not gonna follow the competition

 

What is GOTCHA?

Gotcha is also one of the most commonly used slang languages, gotcha stands for got you, which means you or I found you.

Example:

  • I gotcha my new novel
  • Hey, I gotcha!
