What is an adjective???

Some of us will be confused to find out the definition of an adjective and how to put adjectives in orders if we have more than one adjectives in a sentence, in this session of tutorial we try to disscuss the problem, hopefully it will help you to get a way out

An adjective is a word which describes or modifies a person, thing or place (noun)

Kinds of adjectives

1. Descriptive Adjective

• The book is expensive

2. Quantitative Adjective

• I drink much water today

3. Demonstrative Adjective (this, these, that and those)

• That bag is unique

4. Possessive Adjective (my, your, our, their, her, his and its)

• Don’t take my book on the table

5. Interrogative Adjective (what, which, whose )

• Whose car is parking in front of the building

6. Distributive Adjective (each, every, either, neither, any)

• Every child is special

7. Articles (a,an and the)

• A book is on the table

1. Quantity or Number
2. Quality or Opinion
3. Size
4. Age
5. Shape
6. Color
7. Nationality
8. Material
9. Noun

Examples

1. I am talking to a beautiful tall young American girl
2. A cute black triangle leather bag costs more than $ 2000
3. I have long blonde hair and slanted blue eyes
