Hello, Have you ever done the presentation in English? Getting ready to present in English? Don’t worry. I’ll give you the tips how to make your successful presentation such as preparing the presentation, delivering the information, capturing the audience’s attention, and etc. Now, here is the tips to make your good presentation as following:
1.First,it’s the important skill how to welcome the audience and introduce yourself. You introduce yourself, tell your job position or the topic that you will present. You can say such as
“ Welcome to (the name of event). My name is (name) and I am (background information or job position)”
“Good Morning/afternoon ladies and gentleman. I am (name) and I’d like to introduce myself. I am (name) from (company or job position)”
2.Second, It is how to capture the audience’ attention. The way how to get the audience’ attention, you can practice directly as following:
“Have you ever heard about…. ( interesting fact/ shocking statement)”
“Did you know about …. ( interesting fact/ shocking statement)”
3.Third, You will identify the topic. This step, you will tell the clear topic of your presentation. Here are the examples:
“ Today, I’d like to discuss about………”
“ Today, I’ll provide you some background on (topic) and why it is important”
4.Next, the Outline of The Presentation
You must understand the keywords in the presentation such as
“ First, Tell me what you’re going to tell me, finally and etc”
Those are the keywords that you should outline of your topic. It helps them to focus on you. For example:
“First, I’m going to present…. Then, I will share with you about… Finally, I’ll ask you to give some questions about…”
“Next section, I will show you…”
“My talk this morning is divided into ( number) main section.. First, second, and etc”
5.Ask the questions to the Audience
You can ask the audience to give some questions that relate with your topic. You can give some rule to the audience when they can give questions, they can give questions until the end of the presentation or they can interrupt you with the question while you do the presentation. So, you can give those statements as following:
“There will be plenty of time for question at the end of presentation”
“If you have any question, I am happy to answer any questions”
“Are there any questions at this point?”
