Did you know, the phrase that you’ve said before is an example of tongue twister.

Tongue Twister??? Yup, tongue twister. Can it help you to improve your pronunciation?

Let’s check it out!!!

 What is tongue twister?

Tongue twister is a sentence or phrase which is very difficult to say properly, especially when you try to  say it quickly, because of alliteration or a sequence of nearly similar sound.

What are the purpose of tongue twisters?

Tongue twisters are a great way to practice and improve pronunciation and fluency. They can also help you to  improve your accents by using alliteration, which is the repetition of one sound. Tongue twisters aren’t just about how fast you can say the phrases or sentences, but how do you can say them clearly and correctly.

It will be fun and challenging if you practice with your friends.

Below, are some examples of English tongue twisters. Say them as quickly as you can.

“ I saw a kitten eating chicken in the kitchen ”

” A big black bug bit a big black dog on his big black nose!”

“ Six sticky skeletons (x3)”

“ Fred fed Ted bread, and Ted fed Fred bread “

“Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. How many pickled peppers did Peter Piper pick? ”

 GOOD LUCK
